Shop the Wild is a free public event with over 35 exhibitors showcasing BC’s wild sector, 2009 will be the 4th annual festival hosted at Royal Roads University, this is an indoor festival held in the Mews Conference Centre off of West Campus Road.

'Shop the Wild' offers a unique opportunity for producers to showcase their goods and services and educate consumers on the benefits of going wild. Public attendance in previous years has been growing consistently and we expect over 2,500 people to attend this year. Feedback received at the 2008 event reflected that people who came already purchase wild or local products and recognized a wide range of products and services as coming from the farms and forests of British Columbia. A consumer survey was conducted and a whopping 80% of the survey respondents had purchased a wild product (or service) in the past year and most of those that purchased wild products did so every six (6) months.
